I currently operate a small technical consulting company and a small real estate development company. I’ve been involved in running businesses as a Christian for over 15 years and I love talking and teaching about being an entrepreneur and running the shop. My business background includes both public and private industries and sharing my experiences with the students will hopefully give them real world examples they can remember and learn from. We’ll take our time going through the books and have plenty of opportunities for student interaction and feedback. We’ll investigate how to start a business and the concerns small businesses face on an continual basis. The value of keeping overhead low and cash flow steady will be stressed along with maximizing production efficiencies and maintaing control over the companies’s accounting practices. Hiring and managing successful, productive employees and creating a sense of community with co-workers will be emphasized.
